Spencer board approves fire truck purchase and street improvements. Vice-Chairman Jonathan F. Viner presided as the Board of Selectmen unanimously approved a new pumper truck for the Fire Department with $100,000 allocated for first-year lease costs.
The board also approved a $52,500 change order for Main and Ash Street improvements and a $15,280 engineering proposal from Haley Ward for Pleasant Street work. The board unanimously approved permits for a May 16 Food Truck Festival at the Spencer Fairgrounds and a March 14 special wine license for Mary, Queen of the Rosary Parish. The board voted to terminate the Central Square C.A.D. software contract.
