Library Rolls Out Kids Summer Finale Programming
SPENCER — The Richard Sugden Library rolled out its summer lineup for kids and school-age readers this week, while Spencer's summer concert calendar continues to draw residents outdoors, according to town and library sources.

The town's News Flash page continues to highlight its 2026 herbicide application program, previously announced, as vegetation treatments proceed this summer. Town Hall also flagged a public-health notice urging residents to protect outdoor workers from wildfire smoke exposure, part of ongoing seasonal safety messaging from the town.
The town homepage additionally points residents to its 2026 Summer Concert List, part of an active summer season of outdoor programming supported by the town.

The Richard Sugden Library has posted its "Kids Summer Finale," marking the wind-down of its summer reading season for younger patrons, alongside its "School Summer Reading All Ages 2026" listing encouraging residents of all ages to keep reading through the remainder of the summer. The library's current hours remain Monday and Thursday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with the building closed Fridays and Sundays.
The library also continues to promote its 2025 Monthly Book Challenge alongside its regular offerings, including museum passes, meeting rooms, and genealogy and local-history research resources tied to the Spencer Historical Museum.
