Spencer Conservation Commission continues two major applications

Spencer Conservation Commission defers two major drainage applications for further review. The commission, with five of seven members present, continued a Notice of Intent hearing for John and Jeri Mahaney's groundwater-management plans at 26 Kingsbury Road to June 10. A second hearing for Jimmy Georges' perimeter-drain installation at 20 Whittemore Cove was opened and continued to May 27, with staff and the project engineer to meet on site and resolve building-code compliance questions.

The commission approved remediation plans for erosion violations at 40 Brooks Pond Road and 25 Paxton Road.
