Spencer Economic Development Committee pursues state funding for development projects. The committee heard from state officials representing the Massachusetts Office of Business Development, Rural Affairs, and MassDevelopment on available grant programs and resources. Members identified projects eligible for Community One Stop for Growth funding: downtown parking improvements, the Cherry Street fire station, 1 Linden Street, the former Lake Street School, and enhancements to Muzzy Meadow Pond including benches, trees, and a walking path.

Town Planner Vivian Poplawski will prepare business outreach materials and begin developing a Doing Business in Spencer/Permitting Guidebook with the Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission. ===BRIEF===
