Spencer sees 10 deed transfers in August, but only one sale price makes it into the public record

Ten property deeds were recorded in Spencer between Aug. 7 and Sept. 5, but only one disclosed a sale price: $25,000, for a property sold Aug. 11 to Norwich Commercial Group Inc. and TPOGO. The other nine transactions, spanning Cherry, Clark, Main, Old Meadow, East Charlton, Sherwood, Woodland, Pearl and Oakland streets, listed no consideration amount. Several deeds named mortgage lenders or servicers as parties, and three appeared to be transfers within the same family or into a trust. With pricing data available for just one of 10 sales, the period's deed volume looks active by count, but little can be concluded about local price trends.
