Spencer selectboard approves school override ballot question, clears beer event. The board unanimously placed a $264,445 operating override for Spencer East Brookfield Regional School District on the May 12 town election ballot on a 4-0 roll call vote. Chairman Grigg participated remotely; Vice Chair Viner was absent.
The Proposition 2.5 override would assess additional real estate and personal property taxes to fund the district's operating budget starting July 1, 2026. Separately, the board unanimously approved a one-day wine and malt beverages license for Jonathan Muldoon of Clover Road Brewing Company for an April 3 adult Easter egg hunt at Bemis Farm, North Brookfield Road.
