Spencer water board approves $28,900 pilot study for contamination control. The Board of Water Commissioners unanimously approved a $28,900 contract with Tata & Howard to study methods for removing iron, manganese, and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) from the Meadow Road Well. Chairman Norman Letendre, Clerk Eben Butler, and Member Stanley Davis voted in favor.
The board also negotiated a payment agreement for a Lake Street property owner in rehabilitation. The Route 9 project is 99 percent complete with one connection remaining.
