Spencer Zoning Board clears downtown housing project and four additional variances. The board unanimously approved a 12-unit apartment complex at 53 Chestnut Street with 18 parking spaces at a separate lot, along with variances for a 16-by-34-foot home addition, two lot-line corrections addressing deed discrepancies on Clark Road, and an expanded single-family home footprint. Chair Donna Parker, Members Jeffrey Butensky and Allan Collette, and Alternate Member Jennifer Dufresne voted 3-0 on each application, with septic-system constraints driving multiple decisions.
The board also adopted edits to its Rules and Procedures.
